 While login into vCenter appliance https://XXXXX:5480 getting the below error.

Cause:-

This issue occurs when the root password of the appliance (PSC or vCenter) server is expired.

Solution:-
I can’t log into the web console, I could still log into the the appliance via SSH.
First, log into the vCenter appliance via SSH and still your expired password is valid to login here (entered the password twice)
Then enter passwd command to reset the password. this will ask the new password two times and once you enter it correctly, you are good to go with the new password.

                       

Now if you wish, you can Disable VCSA Password Expiration: Administration > Edit > No > Save.
